Interactive Art
This genre of art frequently explores themes of communication, human connection, and the intersection of technology and creativity. It can take various forms, such as interactive sculptures, digital installations, virtual reality experiences, or even performances where the audience becomes an essential component of the art piece.
Snapchat Lenses
As a Mexican American artist, I've merged my cultural identity with my art in a personal and educational way. For this project, I reimagined Loteria cards as unique Snapchat filters. I transformed three well-known cards and added two new ones to represent current trends. It was my first time using Lens Studio, and I used it to create eye-catching filters with dynamic effects that follow the user's face.

Art is Code
Here I created a drawing application for users can interact with the color of the clouds and the rain both simultaneously. In the making of this code I used ellipses and key codes to create the clouds and drawing application.

Continuing to use p5.js, I was able to create a 2D self-portrait of myself using ellipse, arcs and fills. For this model, I learned more about coding shapes and creating the right placements to compose the different layers on-top of one another.
Glitch Art
During this glitch experimentation, I was able to grab an image from the web to deconstruct a new perspective. Using Audacity allowed me to convey a conceptual idea of what occurred during 9/11 having glitched this image and the unknown of how it would come out brought this piece to life. In this picture you will notice the airplane flying right before it hit the twin towers as the smoke has already occurred. To me this represented the before and after of what was going to happen and how the city of New York would feel gloomy as you see the red filter under the airplane and the buildings would set the tone for the next year of devastation of this tragic event.
Covid Mall Glitch is a collaboration of digital image composition and the use of audacity to get a different aesthetic from the original image. For this image, I wanted to make sure the message was still clear as to the impact of what COVID-19 has done on small businesses struggling to make ends meet as their stores were shut down. This visual shows the difference between before and after going to the mall.
